Art Room 

Chair Person: TBD

Assist in the art room one morning/afternoon any Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Volunteers are needed based on the timing that each class attends Art.  A great way to help in the classroom while your child is there!  (est time 3 hours weekly or biweekly)

 

Art Show    

Chair Person:  Mrs. Arteaga

Work with the art teacher, Mrs. Arteaga, to gather and display student artwork at the Spring Art Show

 

Book Fair    

Chair Person:  Mrs. Miceli

Help set up and take down the book fair; help students find books (Fall and Spring)

Crawfish Boil/Silent Auction   

Chair Person: Catherine Sapp

Join subcommittees including Silent Auction, Live Auction, Food and Decorations to be a part of the largest fundraiser for our school.

​Homewood Christmas Parade

Kick off Advent by assisting with the OLS School float in the Homewood Christmas Parade on December 10 2024; help decorate the float, dress angels, and serve as a chaperone.

 

Hospitality    

Chair Person: Anna Brannon

Help set up/clean up after special events (Grandpals Day, Honor Society, STREAM Day, etc.)

 

Lenten/Advent Booklets    

Chair Person:  Jennifer Fite

Help put labels on books and distribute them to students

 

Library Volunteers    

Chair Person: TBD 

Shelve returned books and check for proper order on shelves to make titles easier for students to find (pick your day/time/frequency!) Option to help at special events in the library as well.

  

Parent Copier    

Chair Person: TBD  

Help make copies for teachers and staff (hours are flexible).

  

PERKS    

Chair Person: Natalie Simpson

Assist with 3 PERKS luncheons for the teachers and staff; help with setup/serving/clean up,  or send in food items.

   

Room Parent Volunteers    

Chair Person:  Ashlee Motyka

Assist in sitting with classes in the lunchroom; class parties, activities, and events; a total of 50 volunteers are needed.

Silent Disco 

Chair Person:  Natalie Simpson

Assist in setting up and decorating for this new event for the whole family on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the school gym.

​

Spirit Store    

Chair Person: TBD

Promote OLS school spirit by working the Spirit Store booth at various school and Toy Bowl events and fulfilling online orders.

Used Uniform Closet

Chair Person: TBD 

Clean out and organize the used uniform closet monthly, or as needed.
